EMI
EMI is also known as EMI Music which was a British multinational music recording and publishing company, electronic device and systems manufacturing company which is headquarted in London. When it broke up in 2012, it was the fourth largest business group and family of record labels in the recording industry and was part of the big four record companies (now there is only the big three). The record labels included EMI Records, Virging Records, Capitol Records and Parlophone. The EMI Group had a major publishing arm, it was based in London but had offices all over the globe. EMI had the publishing rights of over 1.3 million songs where they controlled the libraries of artists such as: Beyoncé, Jay-Z, The Black Eyed Peas and Sean Paul.
